Tony and Lisa Appleton brought their practice from Church Street in Stratford upon Avon to the new site at Aintree Road in 2009 and created Stratford Dental, fulfilling their dream to have a concierge led dental practice. Married with three grown up children, Tony and Lisa have been in dental partnership since qualifying from Sheffield University in 1986 and are one of the rare couples who thrive on spending 24 hours a day together! Whilst both enjoying all that general dental practice offers, Tony has a particular interest in large cosmetic cases, endodontics (root canal treatments) and dental implants. He has also lectured on the subject of Cerec restorations and enjoys mentoring colleagues in the placement of such restorations. In his time Tony has sat on many dental committees, has trained dental graduates and has also been keen to attend as many postgraduate courses as possible, continuously striving to keep at the cutting edge of dental advances. Lisa enjoys working with nervous patients and children, gaining immense satisfaction from showing them how easy modern dentistry can be! She also enjoys transforming peoples' smiles and watching their confidence grow. Lisa also loves interior design and marketing and was responsible for creating the fantastic practice we now occupy.
Manju Kumar

Manju joined Stratford Dental as a partner in 2010. Since graduating from Newcastle University in 1992, Manju has enjoyed a very successful career in general dental practice. She has also gained great surgical skills through a part time position she held in the Oral Surgery Department at Birmingham Dental Hospital. In 2003 Manju was awarded her MFGDP by the Royal College of Surgeons in London and was then accredited as a Vocational Trainer in General Practice. She has undergone postgraduate training in advanced restorative dentistry and enjoys all aspects of dental care. Manju lives locally with her husband and two sons.

Whilst Tony and Lisa enjoy a sabbatical in Australia, Rob has joined the practice permanently after a successful career running practices in Eastbourne and Brighton, where he set up dedicated clinics for the treatment of people who really dont enjoy going to the Dentist. He won the South East Young Dentist of the Year award in 2007. He has a dedicated website www.phobiadentist.com where you can find out more about how dentistry can be made really straightforward. Apart from Sedation dentistry, he also has a passion for the Inman Aligner for moving teeth quickly. Rob shares Dr Tony Appleton's love of technology in Dentistry and he has carried out over 2000 succesful CEREC restorations in 7 years. Rob lives in Stratford with his wife Lara and two children, Samuel and Annabelle and in his spare time is a singer/songwriter and IT nerd! He lectures regularly around the country and writes articles about Phobia Dentistry and restorative techniques.
Simon O'Neill

Simon graduated from Manchester University in 1986 and has been working with the original Church Street and Stratford Dental team for 12 years. Simon provides a large range of dental treatments within the practice and particularly enjoys providing ceramic restorations, cosmetic veneers and whitening. Simon lives locally with his partner and young son and spends most of his spare time following Manchester City FC and playing golf!
Ian Seddon

Implant Surgeon
Ian attends the practice on a part-time basis and works alongside Tony Appleton to
provide a full range of dental implant procedures. Ian dedicates his entire clinical life to implant surgery
and with his skills and high level of experience he is a highly valued and welcome addition to our clinical
team.
